The lights are coming up, the curtain is opening, and another exciting season of live entertainment is getting underway at Guelph’s River Run Centre.
The 2026/27 season brings together live music, comedy, dance, theatre, family entertainment and more. From Canadian icons to rising artists and special performances celebrating Guelph’s 200th anniversary, there are plenty of reasons to plan a night out in Guelph this season.
Big Names, Live in Guelph
Music takes centre stage throughout the season, with an impressive lineup of Canadian talent coming to Guelph.
Rock fans can catch Matthew Good and His Band featuring Kevin Fox and His String Quartet on November 13, followed by legendary Canadian rock band Trooper on November 14. Later in the season, I Mother Earth, Men Without Hats and Big Sugar bring even more Canadian rock to the Main Stage.
Country fans have plenty to look forward to, too. The Heels and Rosewood Ave take the stage on February 13, bringing together two rising Canadian country acts for one night. The season continues with Tim Hicks’ Going Somewhere Tour on April 30, featuring the CCMA Award winner’s signature country-rock sound and catalogue of fan favourites.
And that’s just a taste of the live music coming to River Run this season.
Celebrating 200 Years of Guelph
The 2026/27 season is an extra-special one as Guelph prepares to celebrate its bicentennial in April 2027.
River Run Centre’s Guelph 200 Series puts local stories and artists in the spotlight, exploring the people, history and experiences that have shaped the city over the past two centuries.
The series includes And Then What Happened… Black Canadian History: The Untold Stories on February 25, where fifth-generation Black Canadian Tracy Lee combines music, storytelling and history; John Galt & the Instant City on April 22, created and presented by Mike Ford and Murray Foster; and The Bend in the River: A Concert 200 Years in the Making on April 24.
The Bend in the River brings together the City of Guelph, Guelph Chamber Choir and local artists for a collaborative performance featuring music, movement and storytelling, celebrating the people and experiences that have shaped Guelph.
Whether you call Guelph home or are discovering the city for the first time, the Guelph 200 Series offers a unique way to experience the city during this milestone year.
Something for Everyone
The season goes well beyond concerts. From dance and comedy to family-friendly performances, there’s something happening on stage for just about every kind of night out. Families can experience In Symphony: The Hockey Sweater on March 13, which brings Roch Carrier’s classic Canadian story to life with the Guelph Symphony Orchestra, or dive beneath the ocean’s surface with Erth’s Shark Dive on March 20.

A show at River Run Centre is also the perfect starting point for a night out in Guelph.
